Delegate and say “no” to things that aren’t worth your time.
You shouldn’t have to shoulder all of the responsibility all of the time.
There should be a return on the energetic investment in any given situation. Reciprocity is key.
There’s a time and a place to be stubborn. Pick your battles carefully, and try to remain open minded. There’s more than one way to solve the challenges-at-hand.
Get perspective and sort out: (1) how you got where you are, (2) how you feel about your current progress and (3) where you want to go next.
Promote from within an existing group. Choose a leader that intimately understands how everything works.
Remember to “break the ice” and get to know someone before getting to business.
Have fun first. This will not only diffuse tension, but open the heart for a more meaningful connection.
Provide a channel to voice concerns and vent. Listening is more important than talking.
Be the first to go out on a limb and share an idea or critique.
Others likely agree, but lack the confidence to speak first.
Release the need to do everything by the books and on a particular deadline.
Like baking a cake, you can’t rush things. You only get one chance to make that first impression, so take time and make it count!
It’s time to shake things up. Don’t be surprised if there’s a changing of the guard.
Share your new vision with others and allow this to be a breakthrough month.
Wave goodbye to old habits and ways of thinking.
Don’t overthink. Don’t over-edit.
