- Radiant starlight sparkled along the new sprouts and the bonsai was in full bloom. The tree was literally reaching for the stars and seemed suffused with light and radiance.
- My guide told me it was time to plant this tree in the ground so it could grow to its full potential.
- Bonsai is an art form that requires skill, patience and imagination. These attributes will serve you well.
- However, bonsai also relies on the art of manipulation and illusion. While this makes for a lovely plant, it’s something to avoid in your life.
- Bonsai trees are not miniatures; they’re regular trees that have been stunted using a myriad of techniques, including: trimming, defoliation, wiring, clamping, grafting, pruning, and planting in a shallow pot.
- Many of you may feel like that tree in a tiny pot; you’ve been trained and molded to be who you are, but your heart wants more. You need room to grow.
- Now is the time to liberate yourself from restrictive thoughts and environments.
- Ground, nourish and pamper yourself! Drink in this moment fully.
- Try something new and stretch your mind/body/spirit.
- Growth is vital to happiness.
- In her classic song, Woodstock, Joni Mitchell reminds us, “We are stardust / Billion year old carbon / we are golden / and we’ve got to get ourselves / back to the garden”
- We are indeed constituted of the remnants of at least one star that went supernova.
- Like our star, the Sun, you once blazed brilliantly in the sky. Don’t be afraid of being yourself. There’s room for billions of stars to shine in the firmament, and there’s room for you to shine, too.
