- Flamingos are known for their bright pink, red or orange plumage. This comes from beta carotene, a red-orange pigment found in the algae, larvae and brine shrimp which comprise their diet.
- Beta carotene is an antioxidant that can be found in carrots, kale, spinach, broccoli, butternut squash, apricots, red peppers, peas, cantaloupe and romaine lettuce.
- It’s great for eye health, cognitive function, skin health, and it may reduce the risk of some types of cancer.
- Flamingos live in large social groups, reminding you that there’s power in numbers. Reconnect with old friends and (re)build your work network as well.
- Flamingos are skittish and fly away when disturbed. Try to stay calm and collected. Exude grace under pressure and look before you make a big move.
- Flamingos use their feet to stir up the mud at the bottom of a lake or lagoon. Then they forage around in the sediment with their bills.
- You may find yourself similarly sifting through a murky situation in your life. Don’t despair, as you have the ability to find that proverbial needle in the haystack when others cannot (or will not)! You’ll emerge a leader.
- Flamingos have a number of specific calls, depending on their desired audience. Like the flamingo, you should tailor your message to the audience. One size (or format) does not fit all occasions!
- If you’re asked to put your neck on the line, make sure it’s worth it.
- I saw you return to an old place of work or residence. You stepped out of the car and left it running, with the door open and the keys in the ignition.
- Don’t leave something valuable (e.g., a document, trade secret or your ATM card) out in the open. Make sure you have proper insurance as well (for theft or loss).
- Drive safely and take time to check that you haven’t forgotten something whilst traveling.
- This could represent a chance encounter with someone from the past. It seemed brief, however—just enough to show you how far you’ve come…. and just enough to inspire you to get back to work.
- Sometimes you can’t (or simply shouldn’t) go back and relive the past. You’ve changed, and the lens of nostalgia can sometimes be warped.
- Be ready to make a decision and move quickly.
- I saw the demolition of an old house. Then, you set fire to the rubble. This represents The Tower Reversed—a chance to rise from the ashes. Don’t wait for change to happen, be the agent of change yourself.
